|Roastin' in the sun

Our shipment of Hatch green chile arrived yesterday, and today I got up and went to the propane store shortly after breakfast, got a fresh 7 gallons of propane for the grill, and have been roasing chile for a few hours now. It's going pretty well -- the box is slowly becoming empty, and the plastic bags are slowly becoming full of roasted green chile to put into the freezer.
It's a mouthwatering chore. There's something very lizard brain for me about the scent of roasting green chile. I'll be pleased to complete the day without drooling myself to death.
